Alberta's economic immigration program, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), chooses people with the right skills, abilities and work experiences needed by the province, for permanent residence. Prospective immigrants are nominated through a variety of streams including, the Alberta Opportunity Stream Alberta, Express Entry Stream, Farm Stream, Graduate Entrepreneur Stream, Rural Renewal Stream, and Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
British Columbia's Provincial Nominee Program is a pathway for skilled foreign workers and experienced entrepreneurs to gain permanent residency in B.C. The immigration streams include the Skills Immigration, Express Entry and Entrepreneur. These streams accept applications from skilled workers with job offers, healthcare and information technology professionals, recent graduates from Canadian universities or colleges, with or without job offers, and workers in entry-level or semi-skilled positions in tourism/hospitality, food processing, or long-haul trucking, or those in entry-level or semi-skilled positions living and working in the Northeast Development Region of British Columbia.
Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program was the first to be implemented in Canada. Through its immigration streams Manitoba selects individuals in Canada and overseas with the skills needed by employers in the province, international graduates and business investors.

There are also other pathways such as the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, International Entrepreneur and International Graduate Entrepreneur,.
The NTNP selects prospective immigrants in various categories including the Express Entry, Skilled Worker, Critical Impact Worker and the Business Streams.
The Nova Scotia’s Provincial Nominee Program selects prospective immigrants with the skills and experience targeted by the province. Applications are accepted under Express Entry, Labour Market Priorities, Skilled Worker, Occupations in Demand, Physician, International Graduate and Entrepreneur streams.
Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program is an economic immigration program through which prospective immigrants with the skills and experience are selected for permanent residency. The categories accepting applications include Human Capital, Employer Job Offer and the Business.
Prince Edward Island’s Provincial Nominee Program accepts applications from prospective immigrants under three major immigration categories, including Express Entry, Labour and Business Impact. focusing on skills and experience targeted by the province. There are also other pathways such as the Atlantic Immigration Pilot, Skilled Worker and Entrepreneur streams.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) accepts applications from prospective immigrants with specific skills and experiences through various categories such as International Skilled Worker (Express Entry),
Saskatchewan Experience, Entrepreneur , Farm Owner and Operator, and International Graduate Entrepreneur.
The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is employer-driven, accepting applications from employers seeking Skilled Workers or Critical Impact Workers, and those in the Express Entry pool with the skills and experience needed in the Province. Other pathways are through the Yukon Community Pilot, and Business Nominees.
